SLFA President’s Cup Kicks Off

The 2023, SLFA Inc’s President Cup kicked off on Tuesday 18th April, with double headers at the Dennery Playing Field and Desruisseaux Playing Field respectively.

Over at the Dennery Playing Field, Nyabinghi FC defeated Garrand FC 4 – 0, with goals from Christopher St. Catherine 16th , O’Neil Alexander 58th, Emmery Edwards 80th and an own goal by Lawrenson Cilien in the 86th min.

Playing the final game of the evening, Big Players and CT Foundation played to a goalless draw.

In the first game played at the Desruisseaux Playing Field, Faith United with goals from Zadel Dasouzoy 11th , Wendell Joseph 57 th and John Ellen Romeliasn71st min, narrowly defeated Shambala Shiloh 3 – 2.

Scoring for Shambala were Hassan Evans 32nd and Jonathan Marcellin 61st min.

In the evening’s final game Darrell Francis registered the first hat trick of the tournament as Black Eagles inflicted a convincing 6 – 1 victory over Uprising

Francis’ goals were scored in the 35th 37th and 41st min. with the others coming from Mahvy Rismay 8th , Akid Edmund 49th and Kervele Thomas in the 75th min.

Sherquain Martty pulled one back for Uprising in the 2nd min of added on time.
