French National Charged With Fatal Jet Ski Accident Granted Bail

The First District Court has granted bail of $150,000 with suitable surety and special conditions to French national Ramos Evans, charged with reckless manslaughter following a fatal jet ski accident.

Ramos appeared before the court on May 2 for a bail hearing when the matter was adjourned to a later date.

Investigators had charged Ramos with reckless manslaughter concerning the death of Jazmine Chandler-Tabb of New York, United States of America.

The charge arose from an incident on Friday, April 14, 2023.

At the time, officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department, Gros Islet Police Station, responded to a report of a Jet Ski accident on Reduit Beach, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.

On arrival, the officers learned that an ambulance conveyed the victim to the Gros Islet Polyclinic.

They later confirmed that the victim had succumbed.
