A fire in Fond St Jacques on Thursday night destroyed three wooden houses.
But there were no reports of injuries.
Emergency personnel from the Soufriere fire station responded with two fire trucks and an ambulance after receiving a distress call at about 8:56 pm.
The responders found that the buildings were already ablaze while anxious individuals living nearby tried their best to prevent the fire from spreading to other structures the fire initially threatened.
According to the residents, three brothers occupied the buildings that went up in flames.
However, the residents said two brothers passed away, and a third, who has mental issues, lived in one of the houses.
They said he started a fire and fled when it got out of control.
