Emergency personnel from the Gros Islet and Babonneau fire stations rushed a motorcyclist and a female pedestrian to the OKEU Hospital on Sunday night after responding to a report that a motorcycle had struck a woman at Grande Riviere, Gros Islet.

Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Communications Officer Stacy Joseph said the female pedestrian, aged thirty-plus, was complaining of leg and shoulder pains.

” She sustained an open fracture to her leg and abrasions on her body,” Joseph explained.

The SLFS spokeswoman also disclosed that the motorcycle rider complained of ankle pain.

The rider and the pedestrian were in stable condition when the emergency responders transported them to the hospital.
