Hilaire Congratulates Carnival Queen, Commends Other Contestants

Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture, and Information Dr. Ernest Hilaire has congratulated the newly crowned National Carnival Queen 2023, Shanice Butcher – Miss Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate.

“I also want to commend all of the other contestants in this year’s pageant for their dedication and commitment over the last few months. I know it may be difficult not to be crowned National Carnival Queen at the end of the night but this journey has moulded and helped you develop as a person,” Hilaire wrote on Facebook.

“Pageantry is not only about physical but growing as an individual, understanding what is important to you and finding meaningful avenues to contribute positively to society,” the Castries South MP stated.

Hilaire expressed immense pride in all the contestants for putting on an ‘amazing show’.

In addition, he congratulated those who won the individual segments.

The 69th National Carnival Queen Pageant staging saw ten contestants competing for this year’s title. The results for the 2023 National Carnival Queen Pageant are as follows:  

  • Miss Photogenic – Miss Aliyel Fontenelle – Miss Harbor Club 
  • Miss Congeniality – Miss Tyler Dilsuk – Miss Saint Lucia Investment 
  • People’s Choice – Miss BOSL Digital – Miss Bernell St Rose  
  • Chairman’s Award for Perseverance – Miss Caribcation – Maria Edmund  
  • Best In Swimwear – Miss Pierre Marcel – Leana Lewis 
  • Most Outstanding Talent – Miss FICS – Jernais Perineau  
  • Best In Costume – Miss Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate, Shanice Butcher 
  • Best Evening Wear – Miss FICS – Jernais Perineau  
  • Best Interview – Miss BOSL Digital – Miss Bernell St Rose  

The order of winners is as follows:  

  • 3rd Runner Up – Miss Pierre Marcel – Leana Lewis 
  • 2nd Runner Up – Miss BOSL Digital – Miss Bernell St Rose  
  • 1st Runner Up – Miss FICS – Jernais Perineau 
  • 2023 National Carnival Queen – Miss Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate, Shanice Butcher

  2. The only thing Hill Air cares about is Bar car nal he refuse to tell his partner pjp is time to enact a minimum wage . Them man just there for themselves whiles the people are oppress working for wages as low as 3 EC dollars an hour . I am not voting for them man in 26
