Skills Profiling Exercise For United Kingdom Diaspora Complete

The Saint Lucia Diaspora Affairs Office expresses its sincere thanks to all Saint Lucian Nationals resident in the United Kingdom Diaspora who took the time to participate in the Skills Profiling Exercise conducted during the month of June this year.

This survey conducted with the support of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and Saint Lucia’s High Commission to the United Kingdom (UK), and funded by the European Union Global Diaspora Facility (EUDiF), realized much support from the Diaspora, as the target number of respondents was surpassed significantly. For this we wish to express our sincere thanks.

Activities under this initiative continue, as the Survey Report is being prepared and finalised.

Next week, an exercise to validate the findings will be held in Saint Lucia; also, a cohort of individuals will be trained in the skills needed to conduct such surveys, in an effort to facilitate the replication of such exercises in other jurisdictions, by the Diaspora Affairs Office.

The Final Report of the Skills Profiling Survey of Saint Lucians in the United Kingdom which will be shared with Diaspora nationals widely, is expected to be submitted to the Diaspora Affairs Office by December 31, 2023.
