Team Saint Lucia Wins The Eastern Caribbean Golf Association Championship

St. Lucia is the Eastern Caribbean Golf Association (ECGA) Champion.  The ECGA Championship for 2023 took place in St. Kitts from from October 6th – 8th  2023.

Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Maarten, USVI, Anguilla and St. Lucia competed for the coveted prize of ECGA Champion.

St. Lucia fielded a team of the following persons:

Men

  1. Harith Khan
  2. Keymanie Thomas
  3. Nicolas Beaubrun
  4. Romanus Inglis

Seniors

  1. Terry Verdant
  2. Eugene Edwin
  3. Tim Mangal

Super Seniors

  1. Canice Louis
  2. Mchale Andrew

Women

  1. Mara Thompson
  2. Marisa Groenewald
  3. Chloe Bourdon

Playing President – Mario Reyes.

Daren Sammy accompanied the team and played in the Open Category referred to as ECGA Followers.  He won convincingly taking away both the gross and net prize. A phenomenal achievement for somebody who took up the sport only two years ago.

  1. Imagine super seniors. I watched Canice Louis – Lolee play cricket and fball for G. Islet when i was a yute. i also watched Terry and Eugene play volleyball for G. islet. Those jean go zeelay seniors out there still representing – Bravo.
