Police Identify Victim Of Dennery Shooting Transported To Hospital In Stable Condition

On Monday, October 16, 2023, about 11:25am, Officers attached to the Dennery Police Station, received and responded to a report of a shooting, on the grounds of the Fish Fiesta along High Street, Dennery.

Upon arrival at the scene, the Officers met a male individual lying in a prone position with what appears to be gunshot wounds to his lower abdomen, left side of his chest and his left upper thigh area.

A number of spent shells were recovered on the scene.

Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service also responded to the report.

The victim was transported to a Medical Facility via ambulance, where he is reported to be presently in a stable condition.

He has been identified as Pius Laurent also known as Roberson, a sixty-two (62) year old resident of High Street, Dennery.

Investigations into this matter are ongoing.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is pleading to anyone who may have information to come forward. Anonymous tips can also be provided at the number 555.
