Police Lay Murder, Attempted Murder Charges

On Friday, November 24, 2023, The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) launched investigations into the circumstances surrounding the attempted murder of one individual and the shooting death of twenty-three (23) year-old Mikus Prescott of Belvedere Street, Vieux- Fort, on Commercial Street, Vieux Fort.

Investigations into this incident resulted in the arrest of two males.

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, Officers attached to the Major Crimes Unit preferred charges against twenty-four (24) year-old Shermack Tal for having committed the offences of Murder and Attempted Murder.

Twenty-one (21) year-old Giovanni Augustin was charged with Attempted Murder.

They were escorted to court on Monday, December 4, 2023, where both were remanded in custody until Thursday, January 11, 2024.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is committed to bringing a resolution to every incident of reported crime.

  1. I am glad to hear that these vermin fungus among us are still in custody. This is a great start to ending Catch and Release of Criminals.

  2. Please please please don’t grant bail to these demons (agents of the devil). If you do make it possible for them to pay – like 100 billion. I know that everyone deserves representation – word to the greedy lawyers – please please “the love of money is the root of all evil.” Sometimes for your well being and the welfare of the St. Lucian society you just have to say nicely I am unable to represent you at this time.
