A twenty-two-year-old male sustained a single gunshot wound to the thigh area Sunday at about 11:45 pm during an ambush in Castries.
The incident occurred at Active Hill.
According to reports, a lone shooter in a hoodie emerged from some bushes as the victim walked past.
The shooter opened fire before escaping.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, and police have begun an investigation into the shooting.
