Saint Lucia Police Identify Balata Homicide Victim

On Sunday, January 21, 2024, about 7:23 p.m., the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries received a report of a fatal shooting, which occurred at Balata, Castries.

The victim was conveyed to the Owen King European Union [OKEU] Hospital via private means, having sustained apparent gunshot injuries to his torso.

He succumbed to his injuries and a medical practitioner confirmed his death. The victim has been identified as twenty-nine-year-old (29) Gillian Talian alias ‘G.T’ of Balata Castries.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Babonneau Police Station at 456-4120 or the Criminal Investigations Department at 456-3770.

Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided by dialing 555 (the Crime Hotline) or by utilizing the RSLPF Crime Hotline Application, which is available in Google Play Store.

  1. Could that be a gang retaliation thing going on with the guy that was shot dead by motor cycle probably a week ago?
