During March 2024, Jehovah’s Witnesses have been running a special campaign to invite fellow residents of St. Lucia to a special event.
On Sunday, March 24, over 8.6 million Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world will gather to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ.
Last year more than 20 million people attended this observance Jesus himself instituted in the Gospels.
“The Memorial is considered the most important day of the year for Jehovah’s Witnesses,” said Local Spokesman Kerwin Peter, spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “But around the world, millions of people who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses attend this special event. We hope that members of our local community will also join us in remembering Jesus Christ.”
The annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal will feature a talk highlighting the significance of Jesus’ death and what it means for all of mankind.
Free and open to the public, the one-hour event will begin and conclude with prayer.

It’s rather shameful of me, but I treat JWs the same way I treat people pitching MLMs. When I see them I take a U turn!
Indeed. I do wish that all your praying brings about the change you do hope for because that’s all it will be..HOPE…. If history is anything to go by, it is well noted that denomination after denomination, whether they be catholic, church of god, Adventist, Methodist, baptist..etc etc…..the entire lot, have been praying to the same god, the same jesus, commemorating the same fictitious event NAMELY: THE BIRTH , DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF THE FRAUD CALLED JESUS CHRIST …yet, one wonders why arell all these churches are called by different names?…it is evident that even under the general heading of Christianity, they all have fundamentally different beliefs amongst themselves HENCE WHY THEY ARE IDENTIFIED BY DIFFERENT DENOMINATIONAL NAMES…. Isn’t it glaring that this charade is just a farce? And when one digs deeper with honesty, deeper into the entire hoccus pokery one quickly sees it for what it is…. ignorance and superstition. But I will give you that. Such social interaction as religion is, is necessary for human socialisation, creates community, flock Identity etc etc but then the question remains, why are there different denominations if they worship the same god? Clearly, it is the irreconcilable differences that created the different denominations and hence, the idea that religion creates unity is a pipe dream in words only…while there maybe unity (call it group identity) within a specific denomination, say pentecostal or Jehovah witnesses…there is obviously bones of contention between different religions… for example the Adventist worships on the Saturday and doesn’t eat pork but the catholic worships on the Sunday and eats pork. These are fundamental beliefs held dearly by the two denominations…..clear one can see bones of contention between the two religions but they are all called Christians… worshiping the same so called god….what a farce, and a mockery of the thinking persons intelligence. Never has any man made institution caused so much division between humans like religion…each denomination will sware by their desire for peace and love but they will quickly hold on to and defend their fundamental beliefs at the expense of another denomination…
I can go on and on showing how utterly fruitless this entire snake oil business is but I will leave room for the snakes to bite back…

St. Lucia has 180,000 people. According to Jehovah witness only 144,000 making it to heaven. What’s the point of trying if they have 8,000,000,000 in the world and not even all of the Godly people in this cuntry can make it?
Certes,the 144 is saints who was slain for the word of God !

And further more,when they comes to you, the first thing they will mention is they are “Jéhovah’s Witness, but no one has ever seen God,except his dear Son,and based on, the name of God is Jehovah, which means in Hebrews, but we are not hebrews,so it is God, though researches have been made, there are fourty millions of ‘gods’, which are not ‘GOD’…
Beware,when they comes to you,they dose’nt comes in the name of Jesus,and their doctrines are not in compare with the word of GOD…
And bear in mind trur and faithful followers of which participatig in the Holy communion of the partaking of the bread, which means the body of Christ which were torn by us,and the non alcoolisée wine, which signify the blood of Christ which were shed to pay the penaly for our iniquities…
Which is a Symbol of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, which is sanctification, which means cleanliness,and annoncing the return of GOD (Jesus)….
The crucifixion of Jesus Christ should not be once a year, but as it is written in Matthew..It is every time of the participation of the Holy communion, those who are ‘worthy’

If there is an omniscient and omnipresent God, why does he allow all the past and present horrors of the world to happen and continue? Allow for the suffering of people and animals and the natural world which he created apparently??? And yet he loves them all too. Hmmm… Why would he toy with the creatures, and the natural world he conjured up in 7 days? Sounds like a merciless God and a cynical game to me. A puppeteer and his puppets. Really there was no need for this “creation” at all if you think about it. What exactly is it for? There could be no life at all actually, which seems like a better option considering all the nastiness his human creations get up to, and the suffering they inflict on each other. All the praying will not work unless it is directed as a personal meditation to make a better individual and be kind and respectful to their fellow humans and animals and the natural world in which they exist. That is the only way, we as a species can help ourselves and our fellow creatures. It is up to us to do this, not prayers to a “God’ from whatever denomination. I respect peoples’ beliefs, although they are not mine – some of those frameworks of belief can create a discipline which benefits individuals and communities. But if there is “the one true God” ie the God of the Holy Bible (BTW written thousands of years ago by men – relevant? balanced?) who created and loves us all, then why can only some “exclusive knowledge holders” be “saved”? We wouldn’t have to be “saved” in another realm, if we worked united in this one ie the one in which we are living right now, and not waiting until our physical deaths. People of all faiths, Christian and otherwise need to question, question, question their beliefs and not follow blindly. It is both lazy and dangerous. Any Superior Being if they exist, would expect you to do so.
