So you said you would remove property tax for residential owners but it just seems to be an amnesty every year 🤦🏾♀️ then you’ll come and say you never said that… 🙄
More relief for the rich. Property tax is the only way to tax the wealthy. Tax all the rich peoples assets until we can afford roads and Healthcare for all
I cannot believe I am hearing this from a LABOUR Government; it seems like a complete reversal of what I expected from the LABOUR Government that people like myself worked hard to elect under GEORGE CHARLES; what has happened since? why are the rich and privileged property owners given so much Tax free exemption and for so many years? what regard have they for the poor and under privileged who elected them at 15 – 2 ? PjP I’m disappointed at you and your advisors who wrote and influenced you to accept this betrayal of an original and true and die hard LABOUR principal? shame on you. That I expected from a Chas Government but not yours & ‘independents’.
I WILL GLADLY TAKE IT. Those complaining don’t own nothing so they are bitching you fools did not get this from Tropical Tump instead he gave the likes of TO King zero VAT for 99yrs for Pearl of The Caribbean this is also extended to his family members (it written in black & white) as well our birthright prime ocean front for USD$1 per acre with no guarantees to hire St Lucian’s. Thank you Prime Ministers Pierre too bad “EVEN THEM” going to benefit from it too when they ready they get up cuss you everyday they are not worthy there should be a clause NOT TO INCLUDE THEM, but it’s unconstitutional oh well damn, damn.
Hotels should be paying tax on the property, but they all get concessions. They are the businesses making the money, and they don’t pay! NOT RIGHT! And while i’m on the subject of hotels, every hotel on the beach should have to have their own water desalination process so they don’t use the water that is for the people of the island. With the ongoing water crisis, hotels are the first to get water deliveries, and they get them every day. While some of the people of St. Lucia go without water for months!! If government continues to give all the breaks to hotels, this island will suffer greatly! Wake up government, both UWP and SLP!
