Relative Says Fatal Shooting Victim Was ‘A Good Soul’

A close relative of fatal shooting victim Kervon Adonis, also known as ‘Schoolie‘ has declared that God will deal with the perpetrator or perpetrators.

Saint Lucia’s homicide toll so far in 2024 increased to 32 with the fatal shooting at Grande Riviere, Gros Islet, in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

The relative recalled last speaking with the deceased Wednesday morning.

“He was a good soul,” the relative stated, adding that the fatal shooting victim was a loving individual.

“I can’t say nothing bad about him,” the family member declared.

He could not say whether the deceased had issues with anyone, declaring that if that were the case, Adonis would have kept the matter to himself.

The relative said the deceased did not tell people about his business.

“If he in trouble with somebody, he would not repeat it. He would keep it to himself and deal with it on his own,” he explained.

Regarding the surge in deadly gun violence in Saint Lucia, the family member felt the government could do more to address the situation.

He said the government cannot stop but can control crime.

He also felt the police didn’t care.

“It’s only when something happen they would say they coming and they would be taking things serious. But before it happen, I believe that they doesn’t take much action,” the relative told reporters.

He said Grande Riviere, where the fatal shooting of Kervon Adonis occurred, is a good community.

Police had formally charged Adonis and three other men in November last year for firearm and ammunition possession.

The men all received bail when they appeared in court on Friday, November 17, 2023.

  1. He was a good soul n was arrested for firearm and ammunition so his a license firearm holder? We need to stop hiding family members in those criminality

  2. His people knew very well that he was a gun man. There should be no Bail for illegal Guns and Ammunition in St.Lucia .This present Government too Soft on Crime in St.Lucia .Too all of them it’s a joke .Fire burn these St.lucia politricktians

  3. The persons incharge of Crime in St.Lucia do Something Serious about Crime in St.Lucia

  4. Please, give us a break with thus he was a good soul. He was not….period.
To the Government of the day, you continue to let us down with your weak stance and approach to crime. But to be honest, we did not expect much more. All the talk about drones and all what would have been done, was just that Talk. To fool the people. You did it for health Agriculture, imagine export slu had to buy boxes for NFTO (the banana guys). What a waste of time.

  5. I don’t know any good soul who wears those ugly flat gold earrings. This is the typical Vieux Negre prefect badge!

  6. Killers killing killers . Them family members does benefit from the criminal activities of them cockroaches …. I am sure that he has killed people …

  7. Some of you relatives should just stay away from the media and stop making a mockery of yourselves. He was a good soul but was previously charged with firearm and ammunition possession. He was certainly not carrying a gun to go and kill birds. Bayteez!

  8. Those cockroaches refuse to go and work for 3 to 5 ec dollars an hour like the rest of us all they do is peddle weed and cocaine break and enter people’s home to steal flat screen television, jewellery, and money . Them man have bad mind and they are jealous and envy when they see others making progress

  9. The relative who said he was a good soul, should be ashamed now. That relative was getting a benefit from the hits he used to make. Stop supporting criminals in this small island.

  10. I know he was your relative and that you benefited from his wrongdoings, just use his wealth to give him a good sendoff. You don’t have to come sing his praise because everyone knows about him. Which good soul would have to be bailed for such amount for being in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Like others have said before, did he have it to do any good? So relative look for another more legitimate source of income.

  11. To the relative, I extend condolences to you in your sorrow. However, the deceased was very “well known” to the police. He may have been to you you a “good soul” but to others, he was a demon. So, my friend, keep away from the media and go comfort the rest of your loved ones.

  12. Mate wasn’t good… He alone was responsible and caused the death of a few people…. That’s not the first time someone tried to take his life…. I am glad all these useless boys dying… I have no sympathy for them

  13. It is all about the Scroll, when the Roll will call up yonder and the SAVED of the earth will gather over on the other side…
It is impossible to see God, without sanctification, and there is no forgiveness after death which follows, for death is naked before God,a seperation from God ❗
GOD is only responsible for the death of Saints and others who were slain for the word of God, who will ressurect…

  14. If you hear a so called Christian perish, means wasn’t Godly”..
Let me share with you about a church choir always on a culprit..
For God is not a man to be mocked…
A female singer always on the culprit had an accedental mortal,on the day of her burial, every boasting of her christians life and sharing views, after the final reading of closing, the
mother, bid the last farewell, saying that her daughter is in the arms of the LORD…
As God made the donkey talks in the books of act,
    A man stood up and said he has a word to say ;
I am so sorry, that before the accident,we had a nice time together… the mother hearing this, fall and never to wake up..

  15. I don’t know the details of this situation – but what I do know is that in St. Lucian there are some folk who want to live large and show off by any means necessary. As a result they make choices to suit their live style, some have parents who actually encourage and endorse their children’s illegal behavior aka sweetweeezze – blood is on your hands for sure.

Some females and males don’t want legal employment but would rather indulge with those who engage in illegal activity because they too want to belong and make an impression – guess what no one in their right mind is impressed with a gangsta lifestyle because it is DEADLY GAME FOR SURE.

On a personal note, I would rather have a target bag or even a paper bag, than a designer bag or anything from a gangstas $$$$$$ – I want to live a long – healthy and peaceful life – keep your illegal blood money $$$$$$ which will DEFINITELY LEAD TO your own SELF DESTRUCTION.

CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES and that is the reality whether you believe it or not.

  16. Yeah right. He was a good soul, my ass. Live by the gun, die by the gun, so the saying goes. Let them continue to kill each other. One down, more to follow.

  17. That boy was a thug, bum, no good to society. I am not rejoicing but he mad his bad years ago.
