New Jetty Officially Opened In Micoud North

Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre was among government officials at a ceremony on Friday to officially open a new jetty and washroom facility for Micoud North fisherfolk.

Pierre noted that the long-awaited project was a relief to Micoud North people, especially fisherfolk who now have an upgraded environment in which to earn a living.

He noted the fast pace of development initiatives in Saint Lucia under his administration.

“Things are happening so fast that people are wondering what is happening,” the Prime Minister told the ceremony.

He recalled that the previous Friday, the police had received 28 vehicles, over twenty new booths had been officially handed over to Castries vendors, and farmers had received one million dollars in assistance.

The PM noted that the official jetty opening also occurred on a Friday.

Pierre revealed to applause that St. Jude Hospital would be the next big Friday opening.

However, he did not mention a date.

“Very soon because things are getting ready. We have one small step and when we deal with that, I will be able to come and tell you on what Friday we will be opening St. Jude Hospital because St. Jude Hospital will open,” he told his audience

“While people try to disrupt our country we are building it and we are trying to improve it,” Pierre asserted.

He praised Micoud North MP Jeremiah Norbert’s commitment to improving the constituency and his role in getting the jetty for the community, while encouraging him to keep serving the people.

Micoud North fisherfolk faced many challenges without access to a proper jetty, compounded by a buildup of sargassum that negatively impacted their fishing.

  1. @ Fire Bun…..Tropical Trump and his paid cohorts Nuge/Classic O Really Fool / Sock& Horror enemies of the state I have branded them. This PM is not perfect, but the man doing things for locals but I believe he needs to step up things in VF I will engage KDA about that. Good job Pierre.

  2. I want Mr. Pierre to know that Jeremiah Norbert is the most unproductive MP that we have had in this constituency. Without a doubt, aunty Gale was the most productive Rep. by far. We voted her out not because she didn’t work – it was because everything she did remained with family and friends and we got fed up with that approach. She did sooo much that basically Jeremiah can’t seem to find anything meaningful to do.

  3. @Honorable Jack@ss, I have asked you many times before, do not connect me to any political party or politician. I work hard, pay all my taxes, and contribute to society. I have never asked, expected or received any handouts from a politician unlike yourself. We not asking Pierre to be perfect, whatever that means. We expect the leader of our country to be more transparent and forthcoming with information that affects us all, quit playing games and maybe the other side of jack@sses will have nothing to talk about. The only way to defeat misinformation is by being more transparent.

  4. Builds a jetty and wants everyone in Micoud to worship and praise. The bar really is set so low, it’s ridiculous!

  5. @Honrable Jack@$$, how many political rallies have you been to in your life because I have never attended one. Just because I disagree with somethings your MASTERS are doing does not mean I am for the other side. You can keep going with your BS but you are the only one campaigning for PM and CO on here.

  6. I am not against putting resources for the people of the nation. Like one blogger said Rigoberto did so much she made sure her brother pocket was well loaded, but hey isn’t all Poli-trickers are like that? We want St. Jude to complete and resources needed to be pumped into that. Too much foolishness is happening. Look at the headline top 5 articles are about shooting and killings… like really!
