Indeed. Chaos cannot be controlled. This is a result of disorder and lawlessness that permeates every level of this country. This place is well on its way to collapse. It is very sad that these characters are so brazen to enter the person’s house and send a message in that manner. Scary even. The only logical conclusion is the ones who ultimately bare the responsibility of putting an end to this have no concern with doing so. PErhaps because there is some benefit to them.

  9. Pierre is not doing enough to sort this evil out …he ain’t even changing tack, or trying new strategies….he ain’t calling press release to address the nation as to what next he will do to tackle this upsurdity….we need to hold the leaders to account for lack of action or rather inaction in office when week after week, month after month, year after year people are being sent to the quick….I BLAME PIERRE. By now, his appointed crime minister should have put a plan on the table since his accession to the post…up to now… NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH, ZOK, ZERO….Some will say how can we blame the government…well I say, they were elected to act In the name of the people on things that affect the people and right now, violence is causing havoc to society and Pierre’s response has been utterly woeful and downright useless…. I have said it here on this platform many times that there is much that can be done to stem the violence but these small minded politicians can’t think to save themselves. If not the government, who do we blame? You can indeed blame poor parenting, but isn’t It the government that must put social nets and programmes in place when parents struggle to raise kids? Why are we paying taxes? And why aren’t the big businesses paying their fair share of taxes…taxes that could have gone to instituting these same social programs for a better society…we as a society is doomed and all institutions ( religion, politics, schools ) have proven useless to make society better…it shows that these institutions are not serving their purpose…. schools should teach people to make better choices in life, think rationally and critically etc etc…. religion the worse of the pack just offers fairy tales and pipe dreams while emptying your pocket…yes indeed these institutions will not solve all the issues but they should go a long way to make sensible people of a society….now look at our society..have they achieved that?

My condolences to the family for the loss of their son to this horrific act.

  10. What can the pm do other than secure the victory continue securing the victory Mr pm whiles the country goes to hell in a hand basket,

  11. ok c-wiz…u think religion is the worst….sad for u….sad…that wont stop the message from being preached to the world….i feel sorry for people like you…accept and believe in the higher power beyond our control which begs us to do good ALL the days of our life…what about the politicians most lucians are so divided for, who cast votes for chicken and rum, what about the politicians who know these things are happening u all beg and cry to them but what is the result? a trip to hong kong, dubai, paris and the list goes on on my taxpaying money……open ur lazy eyes to light…up to know i aint hearing one politician in saint lucia house raided, not one shot, not one nothing….we suffer daily u think they dont know??? what about the politicians when lucians see them on the streets they want fame instead of demanding answers as to why our votes dont matter….

  12. @ an answer to every question.

You portray the typical Christian self righteousness that makes you believe you are in a better position than me ( not that I am in a better position you ). I will point out your delusion to you since the scales in your eyes prevents you from seeing your self inflicted delusion or should I say religious inflicted delusion. First, you makes mention that thinking religion is the worst won’t stop the message from being preached to the world. You are indeed correct on that point but not for the reasons you think. There has been people preaching the word and the coming of the lord for millennia and what has materialised? En rien….Nothing, nada…many religious charlatons have made proclamation that their lord and saviour is coming even as recent as 2011 ( the Harold Camping failed prophecy)…and the William Miller failed return of Jesus Christ prediction of 1844…..there has been many examples of failed returns before and after these 2 examples i just gave ….and here we are today…the god of no show…he is always coming but never arriving keeping the lost sheep hoping for tomorrow…a tomorrow that never comes….but you were correct ( you are right on this point, I give you that) the word will still be preached BY CHARLATONS AND PUNCH DRUNK ZEALOTS TO THE GULLIBLE AND IGNORANT WHO FALL FOR THESE FALLS PROMISES.

But here is the thing you believers don’t seem to understand. That the man whom you are waiting for if he existed ( for its quite possibly) the myriad of miracles he performed was mere made up stories…. virgin birth is not new, many older civilizations before the civilization jesus lived in had the god born of a virgin birth : Dionysus, Horus, Attis, Apollo, Indra, Krishna, just to name a few…they all had virgin births….Jesus is just a copy and paste example of those gods who came before him in history….and I can touch on other subject matter here but my post which is already too long would be even longer…but here is my last contribution to rid you or your religious blindness ( not conversion, I seek not to convert anyone but at least once you have read this you can no longer say you did not know).

Matthew 16:28 (NIV) jesus is addressing his disciples.

Truly, I tell you, SOME WHO ARE STANDING here WILL NOT TASTE DEATH BEFORE THEY SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM.

Now I leave it to you to be honest with yourself.

The charlatan himself said there are some people who was standing in his presence as he spoke would not die BEFORE they see the son of man ( Jesus ) coming in his kingdom….but here we are today….those people who heard these very words are all dead and have become dust, powder, nonexistent, they have been part of the elements and nature for over 2000 years now….but what did Jesus say? THEY WILL NOT TASTE OF DEATH BEFORE THEY SEE HIM COMING IN HIS KINGDOM….go figure…

PS : and please don’t feel sorry for me, for I am as secure in my unbelief as you are secure in your delusion. There is no god…for many ancient civilizations had their gods too…do you believe in Zeus? Jupiter? Baal? and many other gods? No you don’t.. your god is just as powerless and useless and irrelevant like these other gods I mentioned because he is a reap off of all these gods that came before him. Do some serious research and OPEN YOUR LAZY EYES TO THE TRUE LIGHT OF TRUTH….and be honest with yourself and see how liberating it feels…..I DARE YOU.

  13. @ an answer for every question.

I forgot to mention this in my last post but here it is in any way.

You should listen to Professor Richard Carrier on YouTube who did extensive research on religion and the myths surrounding religion in the middle east and since your bible admonish you to try every spirit I challenge you to listen to his lectures on YouTube and find within them any error or untruths…go on try every spirit…….THE SCALES WILL SURELY FALL FROM YOUR EYES…

  14. c-wiz….i am not delusional…and you are correct..you are unsecure in your fantasy….i feel sorry for you…acknowledge your higher power…PERIODT!!!!

  15. @C-WIZ

Dude the last thing you want to do is get into a debate with a Christian about God. It’s clear to me that you are a well read individual. There is vast knowledge in books of all kinds for sure. But there is also wisdom, that can’t be found in books. Here’s a piece of said wisdom….Christians are not to be argued with. They are beyond hope!

God is real! But not what they think he is. I respect your non belief and hope you respect mine.

I just hate seeing a Christian and an Atheist argue. I feel bad for both.if you believe something feel secure enough in it to not even defend it. Your belief should be unimpeachable.Defense is necessary only under threat..let nothing threaten your belief.

  16. @ Bell

I take your advice in hand. Indeed it would have been interesting to here your version who or what god is…I am all for knowledge and wisdom and truth.

@ the world will go on..

It very obvious you can’t read and comprehend what I said….when I said I am as secure in my unbelief as you are in your delusion…it means that I have investigated, researched, read, cross-examined and discovered irrefutable evidence that your beliefs ( not just you specifically, but the idea of a belief in a god generally) are delusional and that this discovery, research, evidence etc etc has secured my unbelief…no point believing something if it ain’t real..Just a waste of my time personally. Again no point wasting your time feeling sorry for someone you never met or don’t even know…what you should do is see what you can learn from others…cause I surely have learned a thing or two from you….

PS: I suspect I may have just scrambled your brain with that statement in trying to enlighten you….

  17. Soo sad to know that we can’t solve our current situation in St Lucia. Most of the comments are Useleas in our times..
We need solidarity, empathy, love, Kidness, and not HATE. (Folks,! THE YOUTHS NEEDS OUR HELP…

  18. @bell…so true…i find the comments are disrespectful and rude on every point…once someone comes here and mentions the word God, some people have all kinds of thigs to say, yet one must accept what or which they believe…clearly no wonder our st lucia has gone to nothing….for some then i ask did we come to the world by nothing??? for sure I have a creator and i am special to him…secondly the man who is owed his money or the boy who is shot innocently or the home which has no food or the child which is now wayward, how do we solve these problems???? i guess for some PHD people on here or some know it all, the answer is sports, economy, philip J pierre…i feel so sorry for some usual commenters…it’s about time we wake up out of our long drawn out sleep to hopelessness and feeding other people with it..

  19. bell you kudnt have said it better…some of us the rude awakening will come…let us be careful how we go about offending others…..

  20. Cry me a muddy river….offer reasonable, achievable solutions that is humanly possible than the pie in the sky nonsense…..what I have offered is humanly possible only if society has the will ….you can keep on praying to your god …but I wouldn’t hold my breath…..

  21. If we Stumble in a Safe and most beautiful and wonderful God bless St Lucia 🇱🇨,
Then how can we manage to cross the thickett by the Jordan, and where we will be when the Roll will call up yonder ?
Stop mockers blasphèmers and more and accept the truth and receive forgiveness..
Who to those who wait for the return of the Son of man..
    Be prepared ❗

  22. Isaiah is saying :
Go, Swift messangers,to a people of feared far and wide,an aggresive nation of strange speech..

    Psalms 73 v27..
Those who are far from you will perishe..
You destroy all who are unfaithful to you,the mockers blasphèmers and more not be spared..
All you people of the world, you who live on earth, when a banner is raised on the mountains, you will see it and when a trumpet sounds, you will hear it..
This is what the LORD says to you :
“You will remain quiet and will look on from his dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of the harvest”…
For, before the harvest, when the blossom is gone and the flower becomes a ripeing grape..
He will cut off the shoots with pruning knives and cut down and take away the spreading branches..
    Let the reader understand :
They will all be left to the mountain birds of prey and to the wild animals ; and the birds will feed on them all summer, the wild all winter…
