‘He Was Innocent!’

An impending family celebration of a youngster’s Birthday turned into mourning after the teenager sustained a fatal gunshot injury to the head on Wednesday night.

A close family member disclosed that Melchizedek Eric Tixey would have been fourteen on Friday.

“He was innocent,” the family member told St. Lucia Times.

The family member declared that the youngster’s death was a case of mistaken identity.

Police are investigating reports that Tixey was shot at his home in Blanchard, Desruisseaux, when shooters came after another family member with whom they had an issue.

Blanchard Homicide Scene

The deceased attended the Vieux Fort Comprehensive School.

“He attends school. He is not in any altercation with anyone. He is probably one of the sweetest children ever,” the relative stated, adding that the teenager was also very reserved.

In addition, the relative said the teenager was a ‘bright’ student.

His death brings to 49 the number of homicides Saint Lucia has so far recorded in 2024, primarily involving the use of illegal guns.

God is not a man to lie
If we are not serving God and his words are not rooted in us,when such comes,we do not have no assurance, and we will certainlly falls, because we have no protection..
So very sad, his life was taken away by mistake..

Condoléances with heart felt as a mother

    Is saying :
They cannot sleep till they do evil 😈,they are robbed of slumber till they make someone fall..

  3. So if you know it is mistaken identity, then you all know who did it! Why are we covering up the dirty lifestyles of our no good relatives. We have see how these things have turned out for the unfortunate and innocent relatives who lose their lives as a result. Our “Good Boys” are a liability to our peace of mind!

  4. Mistaken identity?? A child ?? Hmmm doesn’t sound right …. Plus he looks short ain’t no way this could be Mistaken.. Somebody wouldn’t know the difference between a child and who they’re looking for?? This doesn’t add up shit sounds fishy… some proper investigation need to be done.
Question the family member he was Mistaken for ….

  5. When innocent blood is spilled the spiritual world is shaken. There need to be a turn around of the nation. Too much blood shed. Or else there will be judgement.

  6. @morena…so true…God will restore this child to parents who are true and faithful to his word…let us keep close to Christ everyday.. we have this hope…this world wickedness soon will end…

@unknoww you are so right….God is going to give this person or persons tenfold to the blood shed for this child…his judgement is sure..no one wants to fall into the hands of God….repent killer…..repent..

to all, this world will soon pass….want nothing of this world…no ne hurts God’s children and gets away with it…

  7. Listen to the god believers offering nothing but pure BS, hoping against hope, and keep hoping and repeating the same empty hopelessness when the next episode of violence breaks out. Claiming the world will pass soon when your reality is the here and now offers nothing….hoping for a better world in the sweet by and by which obviously isn’t coming when people are living in the here and now. Why not create the life you want now…this is the life we have NOW…its here NOW…why live in fear and agony hoping for a future unrealistic utopia in heaven when society should work to make itself better NOW ? FOR EVERYONE NOW? Here is the thing. A society must from it’s foundation come up with a way forward to live as a society. First a society is the sum contribution of all the people living within it. If the people can not think for themselves, make rational decisions, think critically, move forward in a way of progress ( by that I mean continuous educational progress, economic development ) then the ratio of ignorants, illiterates to literate, progressives will be obvious in society. Praying that god put a hand is pure BS cause he obviously ain’t listening….I have said many a times on this platform what Saint Lucia needs is a developmental plan that puts people first. Education, education education…. developing a society that values the aspirations of the individual. For eg. How does Castries as a city makes you feel when going about the city?…if the city offers nothing in terms of personal enjoyment, entertainment, beautiful architecture, descent restaurants, economic buzz but all you get is run down sections in the city, delapidated buildings, bad roads, no go areas etc etc…then you can tell that those in authority has no clue how to develop the nation…Take a look at the major cities in the world…. architecture compliments restaurants, compliments entertainment compliments city buzz … everything compliments everything else…..It boils down to this…the basic thing anyone wants is the ability to live their lives free from pain and suffering, a descent place to live, family and association, work and the personal enjoyment whatever that may be…sport, cinema, dinning, travel etc etc ….when a nation is struggling economically, then crime is the offspring of economic difficulties…the easy money…and when this happens a government who doesn’t respond to the rise in crime emboldens the criminals to carry on their treachery and the cycle goes on and on.. What Saint Lucia needs is a plan to develop it’s human resources ( every citizen) along beautifying the city, and the rest of the nation, economic rejuvenation where everyone can feel part of something great and beautiful….the government then should also step up their crime fighting ability….and that’s where technology comes in… education education education….a more educated, upward mobile society pushes out ignorance and lowers crime…..

  8. People always say God will do this and God will do that. Christians need to realize God will do NOTHING!!
God has already done everything he has to do for us.He will do nothing else. God only watches now and waits for us to choose.

If we were able to ask God for help he would have helped but we can’t because he will not. Choice is our power and he already gave that to us. God is only waiting for the last innocent to die then all the evil is left behind on earth and that is the hell we are so afraid of.

No trumpets, no rapture nothing. Just us left to our own evil. When God comes the evil people won’t even know.Like a thief in the night..remember? STOP ASKING GOD FOR HELP..HE’s HE’S ALREADY SICK OF YA’ll.!!

  9. There seem to be an issue with houses not being safe in st. Lucia. This needs to be addressed. We need stronger burglar proof houses. Let’s stop the trend. Security is key.

Condolences to the family. Rest in perfect peace.

  10. God will do nothing! All the people talking about pray and asking God for help. God will not help because he does not want to. Every innocent that is killed, especially children brings us closer to Hell!
God does not interfere in our world anymore. He just watches and waits for the last innocent to die. We look at death like a horrible thing but He sees it as a blessing when the innocent dies innocent. “Blessed are the death of His saints,in the eyes of the Lord”.
Stop asking God for help he is sick of humans using the power of choice to do evil.We have no grace to ask for that kind of help from Him. I see too many Christians foolishly asking for prayers for this country. You cannot pray for a whole nation to change.Prayer is for your own salvation and guidance not for a whole nation of people. Each person has to choose.
God is waiting, when the last innocent is dead then he leaves the rest of the wicked to their own choices. The world becomes the Hell we are so afraid of.We won’t even know when he has come and gone. Like a thief in the night. Stop talking about prayers for us.Religion will make people into fools!!

  11. c wiz and anonymous…your comments are baseless….no wonder this place is so prone to evil…maybe if we turned from doing wrong we would reap good results..cant u all see around you that no matter what you two say that christianity spreads more and more and theres no ending to it…..its people like you that acknowledge the devil thats why this place cant do any better…so stop it with these long paragraphs….everything that has been prophesied is coming to pass…we refuse to acknowledge the higher power call it what you want and expect good in this st lucia freakng place….and he is sick of us..NOT NO Y’ALL…..NONSENSE!!! talking money and economy my foot…..so sad…dats all u all rely on for safety….so sorry for people like you…the politicians watching some of Y’ALL lucians like walking fools…tired of u all now…

  12. @ he that must will come will come….

He (jesus) will come but he ain’t coming, always coming but never arriving…it’s always tomorrow, and when tomorrow comes, it’s tomorrow again and again ad infinitum….such comfort to fools…. hoping that tomorrow is the day the Messiah comes….but then he doesn’t…and you keep saying tomorrow…. tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow never comes….think fool.

I laugh at your nonsense 🤣🤣…. statistics show religion is dying slowly in the west .. Christianity is on the decline because people are no longer believing or are starting to question this nonsense called belief in god …..you sound like some deluded fool that can’t take criticism of your beliefs….you believe in a book written by men who were sheep and goat herders claiming to be inspired by god….the solution to Saint Lucia’s problem is not god or the bible or jesus but it’s within the hands of the people themselves….some commented here that god isn’t helping, well they are correct but I will go further and say he ain’t helping because he can’t, because he doesn’t exist. And if he could have helped, and he ain’t helping then he (god) is wicked, if he can’t help then he ain’t god….but the final reality is the sky god doesn’t exist that’s why he is silent and does nothing….

Now you claim everything prophesied is coming true? 🤣🤣… nothing is new in this world…wars, diseases, political instability, it’s nothing new.. funny you never said what was prophesied before that has come true now…I would like to know…..go do some real research before you spew that nonsense about prophecy being fulfilled…🤣🤣 What a joke….

  13. The kid didn’t deserve this. He sort of remind me of myself at a different period. The misfits who are mismanaging the crime situation need to look at his photo. So too should the”human rights” BSers. An innocent life snuffed and they are indirectly responsible. Isn’t this terror? Do we need a White man to tell us it is so. Yesterday was Emancipation Day and it should have been a time of reflection. Slavery ended in 1834; at least that’s what they teach in schools. The mental aspect of it persist.

As long as this place remains blasé about the corrosive effects of crime, nothing is going to change. There is little deterrence to hinder criminals from committing serious crimes including terror. The kid is just another “L” to the system. Whatever happened to his right to life? The “God put a people” must be on a different planet. God will not help those who don’t help themselves. It’s like a a student attending law school, who doesn’t spend a minute of study for bar exam, and expect to ace it. His claim, “God will put a hand.” It’s laughable as that.

  14. Carnal and spiritual can never agree. Those who do not believe in the God of the bible will be in for a rude awakening as the time of the prophesy of revelation 13 is near, even at the door. So let he who is filthy be filthy still, let he who is righteous be righteous still ,let he who is holy be holy still. There is a way that seemeth right to man but unto him it’s death and destruction. God says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, turn away from Thier wicked ways, seek my face, pray. Then I will hear from heaven and heal Thier land. Righteousness exhalt eth a nation.

  15. c-wiz you need to leave people to their beliefs…the person child has died…how will yourll so called knowledge from nowhere in the form of long paragraphs and trying to impress those who read will solve the situation???.this is the focus….

  16. So many God haters in here! What has he done or not done to deserve this hate. Did you all fall from the sky? Yol mothers are robots? It’s just a matter of time when you all will have to bow down to your knees…the scourge of crime will come to your doorstep one day!

  17. So many young men dying what will the world look like in the next 10 years … father wipe our eyes and heal our hearts

  18. @ Nooks

Well done…wish evil on all god haters…that statement says much about you as a person by wishing evil on others. Excellent…I await your bad wishes to come true…in the meantime pray on your all fours for a better society since you believe it works…and I mean that in a nice way.

  19. @ C -WIZ….happy you discovered what you perceived to be the ungodliness in my comment…I knew deep down that you are a man of God! Alleluia.
Now what I meant is that hardiness and tragedy do not discriminate on gender, income level, colour, ethnicity, gender, sex….everyone is bound to face tough times at some point in their lives…Sadly it is only then that most turn to God.
I think that relatives of targeted individuals are beginning to suffer under violent crimes in this country… such a young kid!!!
