The thieves expand their empire…
As much as I shop in Massy I would love to see more competition here in St Lucia. Apart from CJP in Castries, Massy has the monopoly on where we shop and definitely the prices.
We could do with Walmart, Tesco, etc etc bring in more variety to St Lucia and watch the economy grow.
Another monopoly squeezing the life out of st lucians
@Fedup. Keep dreaming my friend. Walmart will be no better. See what they did to mom and pop shops in the US. So, again keep dreaming.
Good God Almighty. There isn’t enough stock to go round now, let alone open another shop full of empty shelves or out of date products and unhelpful staff. You need to understand how to meet demand with adequate supply before opening yet more branches, better still allow for some competition to shake things up a bit.
The problem with this is the st Lucia government, refusing competition for masssy. And what is wrong with Lucia entrepreneur.mindest anyways, not giving nassy any serious competition
St. Lucians with capital are cowaradly when it comes to investing. They rather know that they have millions/ billions sitting in the banks but are afraid to invest. You will go to the graves and your relatives will fight like wild animals for what you leave behind. When you invest, the economy becomes dynamic, jobs are provided etc. Think about that, remember when Mr. Chastenet did it, he was called ‘pwen tout.’
Been visiting St Lucia for a few years and always surprised by the monopoly Massy has and the sky high prices they charge. I’ve heard plenty of people say the government won’t allow competition for Massy but why is that?
