The unrelenting deadly gun violence that has been plaguing Saint Lucia continued on Thursday night in Marchand, Castries where one man sustained fatal gunshot injuries.
A second man is reported to have sustained injuries and was rushed to the OKEU Hospital.
Preliminary reports indicate that the entrance to Marchand Boulevard was the scene of the shooting.
An eyewitness who requested anonymity told St. Lucia Times that the shooting occurred during a scuffle among some men.
The eyewitness said about six shots were fired, injuring two males.
Emergency responders who went to the area after receiving a call for assistance at about 8:05 pm discovered that both victims, one of whom succumbed, had been transported to the hospital by private means.
