  1. So are we going to give that road the Rodney Bay Marina treatment installing all the barriers and other safety measures after that doctor’s kid run over and killed the tourist? Do lucian lives matter?

  2. Why are men in St. Lucia dying at such a rate? if not of Road accidents its shootings or drowning; what’s going on?

  3. @Barbie go back to school and get some comprehension lessons. The article CLEARLY states the man’s name is Christopher Augustin and he’s from Norbert, Gros Islet.

  4. I did not know this person well, in fact I did not know his name until now. But I’ve interacted with him many times over the years, since he was usually in the Corinth area. I seem to recall he was a reasonably intelligent and articulate guy, before he got into the “state” he was.

The way he was always walking up and down the highway, you always felt this would not end well. Even so, it’s still sad to hear of his demise. Despite him being what many may call a vagrant, I hope there is a proper investigation into the circumstances of the accident, and if warranted, that people are held to account. His life was not worth less than any of us.

We’ll probably never know the full story of his struggles and how he got to that state. Condolences to his family. May he Rest in Peace.

  5. omg…..this puts me in shock……my little friend who used to call me “reds” wen he see me passing…..omg this hurts….i always used to give him a little juice or something whenever he asked…i am really sad by this….

  6. I remember Christopher in his young days of inspiration. He use to be break dancing and stuff. This man use to hang around Marisule and Corinth. A menance too however I told him his testimony would be an incredible one. We should not enable these people so that they seek help to get better.
Road safety is always a priority however I don’t think any driver intention is to knock somebody. That’s why it’s called an accident. A joyful saddened transition.
