  1. On track for 86 homicides for 2024. Projected homicide rate. 48.24 per 100,000 people. In 1994 the Homicide rate was 6.64 per 100,000 people. That’s a 7.26 times increase in 30 years. What a sad statistic.

  2. @Statistician, that is right. The murder rate was that low in 1994, should I remind you of what happened a few years later?

  3. You can rebuke all you want but short of a 180 degree turn in behaviour/attitude/deterrence, that is where we headed.

  4. @Concerned citizen, you can go find the details for yourself. The murder rate went from 7 to 22 per capita per year from 1997 – 2001. What changed in St. Lucia in 1997?

  5. Again the devil is breeding on these Island, Seems everyone has guns, knife and cutlass and ready to kill for no paticular reason. Where has the love for one another gone. How come they know the suspect age and cant put his name and photo. Then you see why criminals are smiling cause they know no news media post their photo
