“They take my son from me..” are the words Petra Auguste, the Mother of Stephan “Tallboy” Eudovique, uttered repeatedly. The mother lost her son after he got shot in the thigh during a robbery of a goods vehicle in which he was a passenger.
Reports indicate that he bled excessively after the injury he sustained at New Belair, Castries. The incident occurred at about 4:20 pm on Tuesday and police have appealed to the public for help in solving the Island’s 74th homicide for the year.
“Stephan was the life of the party, I don’t know why anyone would want to hurt him.” The mother said tearfully. She believes that whoever carried out the armed robbery should have merely taken whatever material things they wanted and go without resorting to violence that claimed the life of her only son. “I don’t know what to do,” she screamed.
Stephan was preparing to celebrate his 28th birthday on Christmas Eve Day. The mother explained that it was unfair to him, as he was preparing to throw a huge celebration. “Everybody around was already in it (the party), and they kill him”
“Everybody knew Stephan, everybody loved him, he was good to me. He was good home.”
The mother shared that in her last conversation with her son he told her that he was hungry just a few minutes before his tragic demise. “He told me to put peas and meat on the fire. When he come he’ll make the dumplings..” She says her worry increased when she repeatedly called his phone, with no answer.
“You cannot hide. God above see you !” The praying mother sternly says to the culprits. “Too many crimes happening in Saint Lucia and they going free. That NOT supposed to happen !” Auguste says in her appeal for justice for her son.
“I miss Stephan so much already…” She said.
There are hi-definition and license plate recognition cameras on almost every electricity pole in St. Lucia now but no criminals are being caught. It makes you wonder if the true motive behind those cameras is to spy on the population instead of securing the country.
Since the Health and Security Tax was implemented, there has been worse health care and more crime.
Just as the roads are worse at the end of this year as compared to the start in “The year of infrastructure”
Until we start flogging politicians under the ‘Ma sav’ tree on the square, they will continue to take us for pappyshow.
@Qwerty
I wonder myself. Part of the new surveillance state. Our digital prison perhaps.
@SFR
I’m with you on the flogging. Politicians no longer respect or fear the population.
The step workers are stealing from the farmers in the south
Like your name,O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth, for a dear mother pleading for her only son..
Your right is filled with righteousness, St Lucia 🇱🇨 rejoices, the villagers are glad because of your Judgment ⚖️..
When a crime sentence has not been carry on the heart of man is full of evil 😈..
Judgment ⚖️ is mine,says the LORD Almighty,and remember the words or request of the mother for her only son :
“You cannot hide. God above see you ❗”
Certainly dear mother,
God is Sure of making justice..
You are within my thoughts and prayers..
I know that no governenment or politicians can stop crime!! That’s a fact! What pisses me off is that crimes are not being solved at a rate that deters future criminality. A fatal shooting in the square….almost 2 months and not an ounce of progress! Look this yute on an honest days work task meet his demise….and nothing from investigators…nothing from intelligence Unit…nothing from forensics…nothing! I urge Mr Guard to step the he’ll down if the square shooting is not solved by December 31st. I know he means well but at this stage we need an “Adam’s Cop” like JA had.
Mam I am so sorry for the loss of your son. May the peace of Christ that passeth all understanding be upon you and your loved ones at this time🙏🙏
@V for Vendetta (imposter)….the English language has over 30 000 words but you choose my display name on this forum for yours….typical monkey see monkey do. Have it anyway…imposter!
