The Government of Saint Lucia has expressed wishes for joy, peace, and warmth to residents of the Island in a message posted on social media on Friday.
“As 2024 draws to a close, the Government of Saint Lucia extends its deepest gratitude to the people of our beloved nation for making this year one of remarkable progress and unity,” the message said.
It lauded citizens’ resilience, dedication, and commitment to building a brighter future, describing the qualities as ” the driving force behind every success we have achieved together. ”
“From strengthening our communities to advancing our national goals, your contributions have been invaluable,” the Government statement declared.
“May this Christmas bring love to your hearts and homes, and may the new year bless us all with greater opportunities, prosperity, and togetherness. Here’s to an even better 2025—working hand in hand to achieve greater heights for Saint Lucia!” It said.

WTH these people smoking?
What a load of bollocks this man talks
LoL
This is like a student marking their own exam paper.
This government is nothing but delusional, where’s the progress?, where’s the unity?
They were hoping that Julien Alfred would magically heal st.Lucia with a gold medal but unfortunately that’s not the case. Who ever is doing pr for slp must be on crack..
77 homicides and still counting. Greater road fatalities than even before. People breaking the law, left right and center all thanks to inaction of law enforcement and weak measures by people in power (regardless of party) to curb these things. Bad roads conditions, dwindling healthcare. Who are you kiddin? Its time to stop having these meaningless “pats on each others’ backs” and ficus on building a better and stronger St.Lucia.
Have I been living under a rock in St Lucia?
I need to know because I’m yet to see the progress much less the unity they brag about. Maybe there is progress but it’s only for their friends, family and financiers. Friend of Mary is happy, Thaddeus is happy but the supporters who did all the work to gain the victory is suffering like we have never before under any other administration since independence.
Then unity should never be mentioned with 74 homicides over 150 other shootings and stabbing that didn’t lead to death, carnage on the nation roads caused by road rage, students running after each other pelting stones and bottles throughout the city almost on a daily basis. Right now if you see someone who looks familiar and you stare at them for more than a second or two you are threatened. Red and Yellow still fighting on a daily basis like elections is tomorrow because they are both suffering and can’t feed their hungry families. Their kids in turn look to satisfy their hungry needs and rob hard working people. I could go on and on but I just want to advise the person who made these comments to stop looking through these scarlet glasses.
“The level of dysfunction in St Lucia is abysmal and hard to believe.”
This needs to be shouted from the top of every mountain. The place is on the precipice of being a failed state.
Five more years so said so shall be done. From July 21 st. 2021 @ 12:01 am the Yellow Clowns have been bitching like RuPaul at a Drag Meet, save your energy donkey breath there will be five more to go…….Listerine available upon request.
It’s about that time where they have to say something to the populace and there you have it,just a bunch of words put together to soothe the gullible minds…its a fact that politicians always try to say things they know ppl want to hear,….first of all there is no unity and togetherness in st.lucia, youths are killing each other with no remorse…why would the prime minister think it’s appropriate to mislead the nation?…so you know if they lying about what we can see and statistics shows us,just imagine what they do and say with what we cannot see…..right now I don’t even care if those guys sink the monies from the country’s coffers I really just want them to take the extreme measures against all this rampant killings in sweet st.lucia.
6:52 cents an hour can’t take a man nowhere in life
I know unity when I see it. Seventy-three murders and counting is a sign of cohesion. We couldn’t have it any other way.
These guys are either inhaling something super strong, or downing powerful laxatives.
Yes some have done very well. Certain construction companies. Certain comrades.Certain senior civil servants. Certain land speculators. Certain supposed charities. Funeral homes and the list goes on.
