Six People Injured In Bois D’ Orange, Sarrot Road Incidents

Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) emergency personnel transported six people to the hospital after road incidents at Bois D’Orange and Sarrot.

At about 10:58 pm on Friday, the emergency responders learned of a three-vehicle collision at Bois D’Orange, resulting in injuries to three individuals.

The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

On Saturday morning, the SLFS transported three more people to the hospital after a vehicle ran off the road at Sarrot.

The trio sustained what appeared to be minor bodily injuries.

The latest road incidents followed the launch of a new road safety campaign by the Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport.

The campaign comprises Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in English and Saint Lucian Kweyol, urging road users to exercise caution and appealing to motorists to be considerate.

  1. When did that campaign start? Haven’t seen or heard anything from the DIPT or are u referring to a speech by the PS that was made a few weeks ago?

  2. My beloved Times, stop spreading untruths. What safety campaign? I must have been on Mars when this safety campaign was launched. That Ministry clearly doesn’t know where to start when it comes to a strategic road safety initiative…..hint….how about enacting and enforcing the point system!!!
