John Antoine Plans a Year of Uplifting Music, Starting With ‘Just Say Hallelujah’

John Antoine has been involved in the entertainment industry for the past decade, working with reputable bands on the island as well as performing solo.

A talented musician, he plays the alto, tenor, and soprano saxophones, along with the acoustic guitar and percussion. In addition to performing, Antoine has been writing his own music, which he describes as “positive vibes, positive music”—the brand under which he has released his latest single, Just Say Hallelujah.

“For my first single for the year 2025, I just wanted to continue along the positive, conscious reggae music path that I have been on and to give thanks to the one to whom all praise is due, the Most High,” Antoine told St Lucia Times.

The melodious single was written, arranged and sung by Antoine for Positive Vibes–Positive Music. The song was produced, mixed and mastered by Meriah St Louis, while the accompanying visuals were created by videographer Brace Ferdinand, aka King B, from Jungle House Production.

Antoine explained that the song stems from his understanding “that everything I have comes from God, including the breath of life and the gift of music”.

“This is my song of praise for what my God has done for me. Too often we believe that what we have, we have achieved on our own, not realising it is all from God. Sometimes we don’t even take the time to thank Him. I mean, we had a good year in Saint Lucia last year despite some ups and downs and so this song is my offering for us to kick off 2025 with a heart of gratitude,” Antoine says.

Just Say Hallelujah is available on all streaming platforms as well as YouTube.

Antoine also revealed his plans to release at least five more singles this year, adding to his already extensive repertoire of uplifting music available online.
