Jesse House repeated as champions as the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School completed its track meet on Monday at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, with several outstanding athletes turning in strong performances.
Jesse House earned 821 points, followed by Bourne House (709), Ellis House (661), and Leon House (655).

Road race champion Jayla Sayers earned three gold medals, topping the 1500m in 6:50.3, the 800m in 2:59.8, and the 400m in 1:17.5 in the Intermediate III division for girls. Teammate Anya Quinlan was second in the 800 and 1500.
House captain Shawnica Willie won the 100m in 13.6 and was second in the 200m among the senior girls. Nyella Cox took gold in the latter event in 27.5 seconds, before returning to win the 400m in 1:03.1.
Kaleb Charles won the Intermediate III boys 100m in 12.1 seconds, with teammate Zehneil Michau second. Charles ran 25.9 to win the 200m. Tajiri Isidore won the junior boys’ 100m in 13.2 seconds, 200m in 28.3, and 400m in 1:12.2.
Kayla Jean topped the Intermediate II girls’ 400m in 1:22.0, ahead of housemate Siam Lambert. Lambert won the 800m in 3:22.8. Liam Noel captured the Intermediate II boys’ race in 1:02.8, with double sprint champion Charles in third.
Divine Sylvester was the junior girls’ 1200m winner in 05:43.2, and the junior girls’ 400m in 1:19.0. Vice-captain Jovannie Pelage ran 5:37.8 for the 1500m senior boys’ title and 2:29.0 in the 800m. Joshua Ermay got first place in 2:32.6 among the Intermediate boys. Quann Cherubin emerged victorious in 2:59.5 in the junior boys’ race. Akaiha Weekes ran 3:09.3 for the senior girls.
There were other notable athletes. For Ellis House, Zamaria Hinkson won the 100m and 200m in the Intermediate II girls. J’Lani Mitchell won the 100m, 200m, and 400m in Intermediate II boys. Sannisha Joseph got gold in 100 and 200, and bronze in 400.
Bourne House’s Nyssa Lascaris was the Intermediate III girls’ double sprint winner. Kadan Sam was the top boy in senior 100, 200, and 400. Leo House’s Jordin Hippolyte won 800m junior girls and was second in the 1200m.
