The La Ressource Wellness Centre in Dennery will officially reopen on Monday, March 3, ten years after it was ravaged by fire.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs said in a statement on Friday that following extensive rehabilitation, the upgraded facility promises improved patient care, enhanced safety, and better accessibility for residents of Dennery and nearby communities.

The centre will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing essential healthcare services in a more comfortable environment, the ministry said in a brief statement.
Residents have been encouraged to take full advantage of the improved services.
The building was gutted by fire in 2015. During the rehabilitation, the structure was expanded.

After 10 years ??? Similarly to the St Jude’s hospital I guess these healthcare facilities are not that important to whoever is in office…
Took 10 years? Under 2 different governments? Awa. Awa. Pas bon.
Shame on st lucia and their governance. This small centre should have been completed under the last administration but why did it take the current administration so long to finish?
Witnessing how hopeless St. Lucia’s government can be is very nauseating—ten years to repair a structure valued at less than $300,000.00. As long as we the people continue to be afraid of our government this is the price we will pay for our cowardice. “When the people fear the government you have tyranny; when the government fears the people you have liberty.”
