Dominica Allstarz Here for Preseason Basketball

The 767 SC Allstarz are back in Saint Lucia, and the hoopers from the Commonwealth of Dominica are aiming to repeat as preseason champions.

Led by coach and former national player Dunstan Maggie Peter, the Allstarz, who arrived on Tuesday evening, will go up against three of Saint Lucia’s top clubs in the Saint Lucia Basketball Federation’s Preseason Invitational Tournament.

On Thursday at the Beausejour Gymnasium, the Dominicans face off against Bonne Terre Blazers at 8:30 p.m. That game will be preceded by the curtain-raiser, featuring defending Saint Lucia national champions Soufriere against the Morne Fortune Gladiators, from 6:30 p.m.

The tournament continues on Friday with Soufriere against Bonne Terre, followed by the men from the Nature Isle taking on the Morne Fortune team. Saturday will see Bonne Terre versus Morne Fortune, and Soufriere clashing with 767 SC Allstarz.

For the local teams, this short series will be a final tuneup ahead of next weekend, when Soufriere begin their title defense in the KFC National Basketball League 2025. The league begins on March 22nd, running until the end of May.
