An Ovation for Soufriere Jazz: ‘The Ultimate Experience’

Soufriere came alive on Sunday, May 5, as over 2,000 people filled the Soufriere Mini Stadium for one of the most anticipated events on the calendar – Soufriere Jazz. And by all accounts, it was an unforgettable success.

The festivities kicked off around 3 p.m., and from the very beginning, it was clear the organisers had gone above and beyond. From the seamless layout to the smooth flow of the event, every detail was meticulously managed. One of the biggest crowd-pleasers? “It didn’t take long to get my food or drink, and I love that!” For a crowd that size, that’s no small feat.

The VIP Experience was another major highlight. Exclusive perks included priority parking, unlimited premium drinks, and even a massage and relaxation zone that ensured guests felt pampered from start to finish.

As for the performances? Pure fire. Headliners Busy Signal, Kerwin DuBois, and Farmer Nappy brought unstoppable energy, keeping the crowd dancing all evening. French band T-Vice had everyone jumping, while Kerwin DuBois delivered a set full of soul and connection.

When Farmer Nappy unleashed Hookin’ Meh, the stadium erupted. And when Busy Signal took the stage with Night Shift and One More Night,” the crowd went wild.

Local stars Sly the Artist and Arthur Allain also delivered stellar performances – no surprise, as they’re known for always bringing their A-game. Between acts, DJs Hollywood HP and A1 Jugglers kept the energy high, while the band DYP treated the audience to the classic Saint Lucian-Caribbean sound they love.

By the end of the night, most attendees rated the event a solid 8.5 out of 10. A point or two deducted for personal preferences, but the overall verdict? Pure magic.

For those who missed it this year; mark your calendars for next time. But if you were there, you already know why Soufriere Jazz deserves a roaring round of applause.
