Saint Lucia’s fastest female teenager ever is now a brand ambassador for the nation’s biggest bank. Double CARIFTA medallist and double national record holder Naomi London officially signed on as the face of Bank of Saint Lucia on Thursday last week.
BOSL unveiled the University of Texas freshman at the company’s headquarters on Bridge Street in Castries, and announced a partnership which they say “celebrates Saint Lucian talent and underscores the Bank’s commitment to youth development.”
London has not represented Saint Lucia since 2023, when she made history by winning the island’s first 100m and 200m medals ever at the CARIFTA Games. Saddled with injury in 2024, she ran just twice. And although she started on a full scholarship at Texas this year, she has run just three times in 2025.
On one of those occasions, though, she ran 11.23 seconds in the 100m at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays presented by Truist, breaking Julien Alfred’s national junior record. Aged 18, the teen from Belle Vue, Vieux Fort, says she is walking in faith and looking forward to a healthy and productive year under the guidance of coach Edrick Floreal.
“I’m very centred with God right now,” London told St Lucia Times. “So my main focus right now is to be driven in school. So the reason you guys were not seeing me, and I was off and on, I did my first year of school, and I had to get that kicked down. And I’m now focusing on track, maintaining and balancing both lives right now. So I’m now going to be on the track, you guys will see me, no doubt. And I’m just ready to see what the future holds for me.
“I have no idea right now. All I can say is Coach Flo knows. But I will say that what I do envision is having a healthy season and running some amazing times that I know my body can put down on the track for everyone to see.”
Through her three-year agreement with Bank of Saint Lucia, London will participate in initiatives, including youth-focused events and financial literacy programmes designed to inspire the next generation, brand campaigns and community engagement projects, media appearances and public speaking opportunities to help hone her skills off the track.
In addition to providing direct financial support, Bank of Saint Lucia will also offer mentorship and investment opportunities aimed at helping London plan for her long-term career both as an athlete and as a young professional.
“Naomi is not only an outstanding athlete, but also a role model whose resilience, discipline and ambition reflect the values we uphold at BOSL,” said Rolf Phillips, managing director of BOSL. “This partnership reinforces our commitment to investing in the youth of Saint Lucia. We believe Naomi’s journey will inspire countless young people to work hard, aim high, and represent our island with pride on the world stage.”
The Saint Lucia Athletics Association, which was represented at the ceremony, also offered its congratulations to London.
