Girls Foundation and The Influential BossLady®, in partnership with St Joseph’s Convent, are introducing MOMENTUM: FUTURE FORGE, a career and leadership summit created to empower young women to chart purposeful futures. The event will be held on November 26 at St Joseph’s Convent.
The one-day summit is designed for Form 5 students, to equip them with the mindset, tools, and guidance needed to step into their post-secondary journey. The theme reflects the idea that, “young women already possess momentum. This initiative helps them transform that momentum into the future they envision.”
This program is the brainchild of Deborah Edward, founder of Girls Foundation, whose mission is to provide mentorship, support, and life-changing opportunities for marginalised students across Saint Lucia. In partnership with Shermalyn Sidonie-John, founder of The Influential BossLady®, the summit merges mentorship, leadership development, career exploration, and personal branding into one experience.
The event also includes the presentation of a $10 000 donation from the Girls Foundation to support continued student development initiatives at St Joseph’s Convent.
Participants will engage in a curated series of talks designed to expand their vision, inspire confidence, and ignite ambition:
- Leadership and its impact today, delivered by Deborah Edward
- Health insights for young women, delivered by Dr Tamara Remy
- Money matters: Financial awareness for the next generation, delivered by Sherlon Leon
- Personal branding for career success, delivered by Shermalyn Sidonie-John
Each session aims to help students understand their strengths, embrace their potential, and build the confidence required to pursue education and career paths with intention.
