Sulphur Springs began the final day on February 12 with a commanding lead of 209 over their closest rivals, Caribbean Sea, and widened the gap by six points by the end.

The yellow house totalled 1,105 points ahead of second-placed Caribbean Sea on 890. Botanical Gardens, second last year, had 751 points, while defending champions Piton could only muster 717.

Victor Daniel Felix led the campaign for the new title holders, capturing three gold medals in the Under-9 boys division. Nikita Henry of Caribbean Sea took home three gold medals and a silver for the Under-9 girls.

The Under-8 category saw outstanding performances from Shervel Prospere and Jahmiel Stanislas.

Prospere, a Caribbean Sea runner, got four first-place finishes among the girls. She has been training and competing against athletes significantly older than herself.

Competition in the Pre K class saw Kaisen Alexander running away with the boys’ crown, after snagging back-to-back gold medals for Sulphur Springs. Asia Alexander of Caribbean Sea commanded two gold medals among the girls.
