Choiseul Jazz returns: Amber Digby announced as first headliner

Choiseul is preparing for what organisers say will be an “unforgettable entertainment experience” as the Choiseul Jazz & Arts Festival returns on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the La Fargue Playing Field.

The event is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. and, according to organisers, this year’s staging promises to be the most dynamic yet. The festival will bring together international performers, regional favourites and talented homegrown Choiseulian artists for an evening celebrating music, arts and culture.

Acclaimed American country music star Amber Digby has been announced as the first of three headline acts. The organising committee says two additional regional heavyweights will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The festival will also feature Saint Lucian soca powerhouse Imran Nerdy, alongside Choiseulian artists Meshach, Alpha, Leo and Ti Keno as part of a diverse lineup designed to appeal to a wide audience.

MTX Band and the Laborie Steelpan Orchestra are also expected to perform.

Organisers say the event is not only about entertainment but also about showcasing the artistic talent and cultural pride of the Choiseul community.

“This year, our vision for the Choiseul Jazz and Arts Festival is to ensure that the experience is truly rooted in Choiseul,” Chairperson of Choiseul Events, Emina Athil-Antoine, said. “Choiseul is a community rich in artistic talent, culture and heritage, and we want the event to reflect that. From the music and visual arts to the food and cultural expressions, the festival will carry a distinct Choiseul flavour. Even the imagery of our logo, featuring the historic sugar mill, reminds us of the strength, resilience and creativity that define this community.”

Member of Parliament for Choiseul/Saltibus, Keithson Charles, said the festival continues to play an important role in celebrating culture while promoting economic activity within the district.

“The excitement is building within Choiseul for what promises to be our best Jazz and Arts Festival yet. I am excited about our lineup, which brings together regional and international performers alongside many of our own local artists, creating a powerful platform to showcase the remarkable talent that exists right here in our community,” Charles said.

“Beyond the music, the festival also plays an important role in stimulating economic activity for our vendors, small businesses and service providers. I encourage everyone to come out on May 1 to experience the music, the culture and the incredible spirit of Choiseul.”
