Laurel Jonas, National Executive Vice President for JCI West Indies, concluded a four-day visit to Saint Lucia on April 12, as preparations intensify for the organisation’s 66th National Convention.
The regional Junior Chamber International (JCI) chapter’s annual Convention will be held in Saint Lucia from October 7 to 11. The convention offers members from across the region an opportunity to deepen existing connections and expand their networks while engaging in training programmes geared towards building leadership skills and community development capacity.

In her additional role as the chapter’s supervising officer, Jonas met with the JCI St Lucia executive team and members to assess the chapter’s overall performance, identify areas for greater impact, and advance convention readiness.
According to JCI St Lucia’s Public Relations Officer, Jade Ella Albert, Jonas held targeted training sessions on professionalism and leadership, aimed at ensuring the successful delivery of the upcoming convention.

“Her visit underscores JCI West Indies’ commitment to ensuring that Saint Lucia is fully prepared to host a dynamic and memorable convention,” said Albert.
“She also supported strategic discussions and negotiations with prospective partners, reinforcing the collaboration needed to execute the 66th National Convention at a high standard.”
Albert says JCI St Lucia is in the midst of preparations to welcome delegates from across the region.
As preparations continue, the organisation is encouraging individuals, businesses and other entities with an interest in corporate social responsibility to partner with JCI St Lucia in support of its initiatives and the upcoming convention.
“These partnerships present an opportunity to contribute to meaningful community development while gaining visibility and engagement within a dynamic network of young leaders,” said Albert.
JCI St Lucia and JCI West Indies are part of a voluntary, global movement for young professionals and entrepreneurs in their twenties and thirties. The organisation’s mission is to provide development opportunities that help youth contribute to positive change.
