The high command of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force on Thursday commended Superintendent Irvin Alfred, Commander of the Police Marine Unit, for completing the prestigious International Maritime Training Course at the US Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, Virginia.
This internationally recognised programme focuses on US Coast Guard and government best practices, equipping senior maritime officers with advanced operational knowledge, strategic leadership skills and expertise in maritime security and emergency response.
Over 13 intensive weeks, Superintendent Alfred enhanced his expertise in search and rescue operations, maritime law enforcement, crisis communications, emergency management, tactical waterborne operations, marine safety and pollution, command and armed conflict.
