Piton Malta is now the title sponsor for the Lucian Junior Carnival 2026. The company recently presented a cheque to the Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC), marking a new partnership that supports Saint Lucia’s top youth-focused creative arts and carnival event.
This partnership demonstrates a strong commitment to preserving Saint Lucian culture and encouraging young people to participate in the national carnival. It also points to the increasing value of public and private groups working together to keep the island’s creative and cultural industries thriving.
With the theme More Than a Festival: A Movement for the Next Generation, Lucian Junior Carnival 2026 serves as both a cultural stage and a way for young people to learn about the artistic, economic, and social aspects of carnival traditions in Saint Lucia.
Tamara Gibson, chairperson of the CPMC, welcomed the partnership and stressed the need for ongoing corporate support for national cultural programmes.
“Lucian Junior Carnival remains one of the foundations of our carnival product because it allows young people to develop an appreciation for our culture from an early age. We are pleased to have Piton Malta on board as Title Sponsor for 2026, and we look forward to working together to continue strengthening the Junior Carnival experience,” Gibson said.
Piton Malta representatives also shared their excitement about being part of a project that makes a real difference in youth development.
The sponsorship will help fund key events for Lucian Junior Carnival 2026, such as the National Carnival Schools tour from May 18 to May 29, 2026. Other highlights are the National Primary and Secondary Calypso & Soca Competitions on June 4 and 5, the National Schools Panorama Competition on June 6, and the National Junior Parade of the Bands on July 12.
The partnership will also bring a new school programme to help students gain practical skills for today’s creative economy, while reminding everyone of the Lucian Carnival’s role in national expression.
