Corinth cricketers set out on tour of Trinidad

Not satisfied to rest on their laurels after winning their first competitive title in 13 years, the Corinth Secondary School cricket team has embarked on a 10-day tour of Trinidad & Tobago. 

The team left Saint Lucia on Sunday, representing the country on the regional stage in three 50-over matches and two T20 matches, to be played in El Dorado and Chaguanas. 

The trip is organised in partnership with Trinbago’s Keston Lewis Cricket Academy.

Daniel Lorde, Nicken Justin and Yorick Joseph helped guide Corinth to the 2025 Under-15 Schools 40-Over title, the first time they have won since 2012. In the final against Choiseul, Lorde scored 33 runs, Justin took 4 wickets for 20 runs, and Joseph held the middle order together. The three national players are bolstered by the inclusion of Kaleb Charles and Jean Claude Emmanuel from Leon Hess Comprehensive and St Mary’s College.

“The tour offers our young cricketers an outstanding opportunity to compete against quality opposition, sharpen their skills and gain invaluable match experience in a highly competitive environment,” read a release from the school.

The local partner organisation is led by Keston Lewis, who is the assistant bowling coach for the Trinidad & Tobago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League. He gives players a chance to learn from someone with professional franchise experience.

“We wish the players, coaches and supporters of Corinth Secondary School a successful and enjoyable tour and look forward to building lasting cricketing relationships through this exciting initiative,” Lewis said.

The school’s physical education department hopes this tour will help the team perform better at the Under-15 and Under-19 levels next school year. In the 2026 Under-19 competition, Corinth faced tough competition from experienced teams like Leon Hess Comprehensive and the Saint Lucia Sports Academy.
