JCI Saint Lucia marked multiple historic milestones after hosting the JCI West Indies 66th National Convention from October 7-11, 2026. JCI, short for Junior Chamber International, is a global non-profit organisation of young, active citizens aged 18 to 40 who develop leadership and social impact skills.
The Saint Lucian chapter, which had experienced a period of dormancy, made a remarkable return to the regional stage by hosting over 180 delegates from across the West Indies for a week of leadership development, fellowship, collaboration, and community engagement. The week’s activities were sponsored in partnership with LUCELEC.
During the convention, JCI Saint Lucia received the Best New Local Organisation Award, a notable achievement for a chapter rebuilding its presence and operations. Additionally, the chapter’s assigned officer, National Executive Vice President Laurel Jonas, was elected as the JCI West Indies National President-Elect for 2027. This role entails leading, managing, and representing the organisation across its member islands in the Caribbean.

The chapter also celebrated the recognition of Clive Hippolyte as its first JCI Senator. This prestigious lifetime honour is awarded to current or past members to recognise outstanding dedication, exceptional leadership, and significant service to the organisation.
