Twenty-five-year-old Nyiam Callender of Marc, Bexon, was fighting for his life in intensive care, contrary to reports that he had succumbed after a drive-by shooting on Thursday night, a family member has disclosed.

RSLPF Retraction & Apology Over Homicide Report

Callender and two other men sustained injuries from the shooting, and private transportation took them to the hospital.

“This morning, we received many phone calls saying our family member was dead. We started crying. After, we received another call saying he was in ICU, so we were in disbelief. We didn’t know what to believe,” a family member said.

“Finally, we got a call saying he was in ICU and needed blood,” the relative recalled, adding that the family would be grateful for any donations.

She described Callender as a cheerful individual who is fun to be around.

And the family member said she was unaware he had any issues with anyone.

She said Callender sustained gunshot injuries in a drive-by shooting as he and the two other victims sat outside a shop talking and laughing.

Police have urged anyone with information regarding the gun violence to contact the nearest police station, the Criminal Investigations Department at 456-3770, 456-3817, or the Crime Hotline at 555 for anonymous reporting.

  1. I do not know what he has done to anyone, but this is not good. Why are you killing your brother? For what ? Supposing they come for your mother, what’s about your father,or even your brothers children? Don’t you think that they don’t know you all? Joke you joking. Parents talk to you all children because you all know what’s happening. Put a stop to that . So let me ask…
Why do we are quick to go and protest for politicians and not for our safety and children that are being killed right in front of our own two eyes??? . Ppl let’s take the streets.

  2. They refuse to work for 2 to 5 EC dollars an hour but prefer to live a life of crime

  3. Most of these So called Parents put these So called Criminals First .So let them Desl with their Shituation .Why The parents Don’t call the Police and Give the information as the Location their Children have the Illegal Guns .Most of the Grand Parents Hide the Illegal guns for Their So Called Grand Children

  4. Why are these young men always wearing seatbelts around their chest? Wonder if that’s what is attracting violence and bike accidents towards them.

  5. All his family for the information. They have voice for everything but they cyah give the information it would take to deal with this shooting?
