Tributes have flowed for the late Rock ‘N’ Roll Queen Tina Turner, who died at 83 in Switzerland.

The Obamas  Oprah, Beyoncé, Brian Wilson, and Mariah Carey were among the big names lauding the multi-Grammy Award-winning soul star.

Carey paid tribute to Turner’s escape from an abusive relationship, describing her as an inspiration to women everywhere.

In a tell-all interview in 1981, Turner described the abuse she suffered from her husband, Ike Turner.

She married Ike when she was 17.

In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, the singer recalled escaping from the abusive relationship on July 1, 1976, while the couple were on tour.

She divorced the abusive Ike in 1978 and became a successful solo performer.

Tina Turner died after a long illness.

Her hits included Proud Mary, Private Dancer, What’s Love Got To Do With It, and The Best.
