The winner will earn the opportunity to represent Saint Lucia at the Miss District High Caribbean pageant in December.
Executive Director Treasure Actille explained that this year’s competition will feature a new segment, district wear, in which contestants will showcase attire representing their individual communities. Other recurring segments include interviews, talent, swimwear and evening wear.
“This year, Miss District High made history by becoming the first pageant organisation in Saint Lucia to have past and present contestants participate in more than 10 pageants in one year,” said Actille, noting that personal development through pageantry beyond Miss District High is something organisers encourage.
Since its inception, Miss District High has been dedicated to building confidence, encouraging youth advocacy, and nurturing contestants into role models for their peers.
Tickets for the upcoming pageant are available islandwide at THE CELL (Saint Lucia) outlets for EC$50.

Really? Still parading females around in swimwear? For whose benefit is that I wonder?! Hmmm…
All look wrong. But at least they trying a ting
Getting ready for Miss Universe!
And how about the young men, although they may not need a pageant because they walk about like ducks everyday with their sagging pants displaying their underwear!
Honestly and seriously, how do pageants make women more bold, motivated, independent, inspired and true to self? The latter baffles me when I see all the make up and fake hair and lashes. Please help me understand this?
@George I totally agree with you. When someone takes off makeup and they don’t look like themselves it is as if they were wearing a peel off mask. Also, I have heard many women in St. Lucia say that pageant helps them with encouragement and self esteem etc. etc. Everyone should be able to motivate themselves, encourage themselves and be good to themselves at all cost – as the saying goes “to thine own self be true” – there is nothing wrong with pageants but they should never be your goal for building your own self esteem.
No one should require a face lift, nose job, weave, fake eyelashes and a bbl to be true to themselves. Use what you were given at birth and let the chips fall where they may and please don’t be envious of others and don’t believe the hype.
