On Thursday, June 6 2024, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), along with Bay Gardens Resorts and Zoetry Marigot Bay, hosted a successful installment of its Inspire series in Dominica.

This event, marked by a ‘Dinner & Learning’ experience, aimed to foster collaboration and enhance tourism ties between the two Caribbean nations.

The event was led by Christopher Gustave, Marketing Manager for the Caribbean, Events, and Sports, with support from Geraine Georges, Public Relations Manager.

It brought together an impressive array of industry stakeholders, including travel advisors, representatives for L’Express Des ÃŽles.

and Sunrise Airways, members of the Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC), trade partners, accommodation providers, agro-processors, and event producers.

The evening featured engaging presentations on tourism trends, opportunities for joint ventures, and strategies for sustainable growth.

The Inspire series aligns with Saint Lucia’s tagline, ‘Let Her Inspire You,’ aiming to foster dialogue, innovation, and partnership within the tourism sector. It also seeks to generate positive feedback about growth opportunities.

On June 7, the SLTA and its partners held a productive meeting with the Discover Dominica Authority, focusing on synchronizing efforts to maximize benefits for both countries.

The day also included a ‘Lunch N Learn’ session with government and private sector agencies, followed by a consumer engagement event at The Realm.

This interactive session allowed patrons to learn more about Saint Lucia, with exciting prizes including a VIP bag filled with branded merchandise, a two-night stay at Bay Gardens Resorts, and a grand prize trip for two to Saint Lucia, courtesy of Sunrise Airways, Zoetry Marigot Bay, and the SLTA.

The Dominica leg of the Inspire series underscored the SLTA’s commitment to promoting regional tourism and the importance of collaboration in driving economic development.

As the tourism industry continues to recover and evolve, events like these play a crucial role in shaping a resilient and prosperous future for the Caribbean.
