For the first time in the history of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF), a femaleĀ officer will helm the High Command in the capacity of Commissioner of Police.
On October 17, 2022, Prime Minister and Minister for National Security Hon. Philip J. Pierre announced Mrs. Crusita Descartes-Pelius will Act as Police Commissioner.
Commissioner Descartes-Pelius assumes her new role with more than three decades of experience in law enforcement under her belt.

This History comes with great responsibility I only hope she knows what she is getting into and what we the people expect from her.
congratulations to the lady . now its time to clean up the RSPF. you need to begin there
aa well that escalated quickly, first she was acting commissioner now she is the actual commissioner in a blink of an eye? mama woi
Pierre, first she was acting commissioner, now she is commissioner. For someone who is on the books to be retired next year. How will that work. At the end of next year we will be in the same situation to hire a new commissioner. I hope this is not a political payback by you Pierre. You have been known and have a reputiation to pay your political debts with high profile jobs at the expense of St.Lucians. This move smells like a rat in my opinion. Somethings are not adding up.
