On Monday, Jamaica soldiers stopped a vessel carrying 2000 pounds of suspected cocaine, the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) said.

“Members of the Maritime Air and Cyber Command of the Jamaica Defence Force intercepted a vessel transporting nineteen large and carefully prepared bales,” the JDF tweeted.

The army said the cargo originated in South America.

Three Jamaicans on board the go-fast boat in Jamaica’s territorial waters were in custody.
