Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre says as a country, Saint Lucia has reason to celebrate economic gains, despite external challenges and citizen safety concerns.

The remarks came this week during presentation of his second budget.

  1. Socio-economic gains? Gas prices are up and staying up, cooking gas is up, price of bread is up, food prices are through the roof! Where exactly are the socio-economic gains? Or maybe the question should be, who is receiving those gains? Give me a break!
