Correctional Officers Discuss Safety & Security Concerns With Pierre

spot_img

The Correctional Services Welfare Association Executive met with Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre on Wednesday to discuss members’ safety and security concerns.

Public Relations Officer Yasmin Peter described the meeting as cordial and fruitful.

Peter said Pierre, responsible for National Security, again pledged the government’s continued commitment to working with Correctional Officers to ensure their safety and security.

Some pressing issues the officers want the labour administration to address include access to equipment, specifically radio communication.

They are also concerned about the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) staffing levels.
