Police Probe Suspected Drowning

Police say they are investigating a suspected drowning after the discovery of a homeless man’s body opposite the IGY Rodney Bay Marina.

Officers learned of the discovery on Wednesday at about 5:55 pm and have identified the deceased as Cannius Marcellin.

He was 63 years old.

There are no further details at present.

  2. Was this man really homeless, does anyone know or was he just doing drugs or mentally unwell? I understood from persons in Gros Islet, that he did have a daughter who would feed him and give him money. I will always remember him as the one who refused to take anything less than $5 from people.

  3. @question is that the fat black type of man that seemed a bit Indian and he was very fat and black and refused to bath and would stand under the shantee opposite the gros islet gap?
