One Saint Lucian Dead, Another Injured In Martinique Gun Violence

Local reports say that a Saint Lucian national is dead, and another was in hospital after a shooting incident in Martinique on Monday.

According to the reports, a Martinique national also succumbed.

The online publication RCI.FM reported that at about 10 p.m., residents who heard gunshots on Rue des Lavandières later discovered two men on the ground, each with a weapon nearby.

The publication said despite the efforts of emergency responders, the men, a Martiniquan and a Saint Lucian in their forties, succumbed at the scene.

According to RCI.FM, a friend transported a second Saint Lucian who sustained gunshot injuries to the stomach to the hospital.

  3. They refuse to go and work for 2 to 5 EC dollars an hour like the rest of the working poor, who works in Hotels, gas stations , construction , and security companies until the government enact a livable wage …
