Saint Lucia Under Tropical Storm Watch

The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) has announced that Saint Lucia is under a Tropical Storm Watch.

The watch went into effect at 8:00 pm on June 20, 2023.

NEMO has advised households to activate their family emergency plans if necessary.

The organisation announced the Tropical Storm Watch regarding Tropical Storm Bret.

Forecasters expect Bret to pass through the Windward Islands by Thursday and possibly into Friday.

NEMO says residents in flood-prone areas should take extreme precautions because of the potential for flash flooding and land slippage.

  3. Its forward movent is slowing down. From 21mph to 16mph. If it continues to slow down that will make it more dangerous.
