Saint Lucia Football Association Responds To VSADC Victimisation Claims

As a result of the misinformation as it concerns statements made by the VSADC that have been reported in the media over the past few days, the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. would like to set the record straight.

The Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. administers its national championships as well as its participation in regional and international championships. There are protocols that must be followed and implemented by FIFA and Concacaf to protect the integrity of the various championships.

The statement that the Saint Lucia Football Association is victimizing the VSDAC is unfounded. The Association has undertaken and will continue to undertake due process in its dealings with the club at every instance.

The Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. is cognizant of the anxiety by the club for the appeals hearing and is doing all in its power to cause the hearing to be called at the earliest possible time.

As such, the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. is unable to furnish any additional information as this matter as this is an issue which the Appeals Committee is due to preside over at the soonest.

We will provide an update as soon as the Appeals Committee makes a declaration after it has ruled.

  1. It is amazing that people who purport to support the youth can behave in such a manner. What a joke. The people in these organizations who are sitting around and doing nothing are no better than the heads. There will be no progress if the persons heading these national associations don’t stop the victimization. Hence the reason sport in this country continues to suck.

  2. So let me understand this, an amateur club operated by volunteers organizes a press conference, produces reams of evidence to support their position and this is the response of the Saint Lucia Football Association; a multi million dollar organization with a paid secretariat and a paid communications officer?.

As a taxpayer I am deeply concerned that the Government of Saint Lucia has decided to hand over 1,000,000.00 to this organization to organize a semi professional league if this is capacity level of the SLFA then awah wee.
    Head scratching……….
